Dollhouse 103 "Stagefright"

Okay, so first we have Tim from One Tree Hill, and now Peyton's dad (version 2). Kind of fun to see them in other roles :)

A number of people have stated that Dollhouse was doomed from the start. I don't agree. I see potential, but the concept is very hard to make great. If these past two episodes are an indication of how the rest of the season is going to be like, then I don't really know... The second episode was really really good, and I appreciated this episodes take on celebrity being like the Dollhouse. It's like I understand where Joss wants to take this and what he wants to say, but I'm not sure if he can. I really want him and this show to succeed, but I don't know.. This episode was kind of bleh to me... the biggest eye-opener was when we realized that Lubov (the guy Ballard has been talking too) is actually an 'Active'. Ooh, and then his line "People are mostly crap!"

Meanwhile, Ballard continues to be hot as hell, and moving very very snailspeed slowly close to the Dollhouse.
Topher continues to be cute as hell :) Me likey the geek :P
Echo continues to very very snailspeed slowly become aware of herself.
And Fred... I mean Dr Saunders continues to be horribly scarred. I love having her on the show, just because it sort of feels like home...

I'll continue to watch, because as I said before it has potential, and I really want it to be good, but I won't be devastated if it is pulled off the air...

haven't watched it yet but... seems like I won't watch anymore if third ep is like you said. Anyway, will tomorrow and... I promised myself than if ep 3 didn't get me to click, then it's bye bye Dollhouse for me. Hope it won't but...

also hope you had a real sunny and wonderful WE!

And wishing you a super week! :)

Yeah, the episode was okay, but rather boring, especially compared to last week. I'll keep watching and let you know if it gets better :)

Yeah, I had a great week. Carnival party friday. My mouse costume sucked (just ears, make up and gray clothes) but it was a lot of fun. Went out with friends afterwards, something I rarely do. It was so much fun :)

Saturday I was at our mexican exchange student's birthday :) Also a lot of fun.

Today was all about relaxing, of course I had happily forgotten about the math assignment due wednesday :O

How was your WE?

but I won't be devastated if it is pulled off the air...
I would, at least if they pull it off air before episode 6. Because according to Eliza Dushku that's when the real Joss Whedon stuff starts, atm it's just other people playing with his ideas (although episode 3 was written by his brother&fiancee...), and I guess we can see why letting others play with your toys isn't always the best thing to do.
But yeah, I'm pushing through and will keep rooting for Topher. ;) Plus, every episode does have its brighter moments. =)

I hadn't heard of that. That sounds great. Gotta love the real Joss Whedon stuff :)

Hehe, and those brighter moments usually include Topher, so that's a win-win =)

I totally squeed when I saw Larry Sawyer on screen. Plus, he always was my favourite Larry. :p

If they include a OTH guest star each week, I'm gonna love the show. :D

I agree with you though, I'm not quite sure of the future of the show. While I'm all excited and so happy to see Eliza and Amy back on a show (and by Joss!), I'm afraid they're trying to make it too "mysterious" and that it will end being plain confusing, or just crazy, like Lost... Which would be sad because it does have lots of potential.

I spent the WE with my dad, and he deleted everything off my pc and reinstalled it. It was filled with all sorts of nasty bugs and stuff, so it was good to get a fresh start. Now it is all clean and working great again =)

And, couldn't embed, but take a look at this =) Just so you know where the awesome icon is from (and why Supernatural is made of win)

I should say that I've not seen a single ep of Dollhouse, but from the very start I loved the concept of it. Just people who can become different, well, people on new missions -- it sounds like such a recipe for success! But yeah. It is what it is now, at the cost of a great concept and a great writer.
